Favorite Brands Help us Maintain Daily Family Rituals

With three busy daughters, a houseful of pets, careers, and activity filled calendars, our days seem to take on lives of their own. Sometimes it’s not only difficult to accomplish everything—but, it’s even tough to bring everyone together as a group. Over the years, in spite of daily chaos and hectic schedules, we have developed a few daily rituals that keep our family connected. What are a few of our favorite rituals, how do we maintain them in our schedule and how do trusted brands like Tropicana Pure Premium help?

A family meal—every day. While our schedules rarely connect for a guaranteed nightly dinner—most days work for a family breakfast. Even if time allows only for cereal and orange juice—we try to make the most of the mealtime as a group.

Nightly story time. Our girls love to read and our nightly story time brings in the two younger girls, who read aloud from books of choice. We are usually jointed by the dog who loves to take advantage of thirty minutes to an hour of snuggly, quiet time.

After school snack time. Again, our family focuses on food as we unpack backpacks and reflect on the school day. This time helps us determine the attention needed for nightly homework, gather up important papers or permission slips, update the calendar and refocus our week.

How do we maintain our favorite rituals? Most of our daily habits focus on the kitchen and dining room. There is a sense of comfort in those spaces and we devote a lot of time and effort into the meals, snacks and beverages served in our home. I am a long-time migraine sufferer—with many food and preservative sensitivities. Because I devote so much time to finding and preparing fresh foods and recipes—I love it when I find companies and business that I can trust to provide suitable, commercial products for our family.
