About the Book

I'd never adopted a dog before. I had no idea what to do and this dog needed someone who did. An abused dog and a clueless human, we embarked on a journey of love, struggles and joy.

"Every abandoned Darcy dog needs a Liane."

My Review

Dog lovers will love the relationship between Darcy and Liane. There is a bond that forms between a dog and his/her human that is just like none other--and the author perfectly captures the development of her bond with Darcy.  Beginning as strangers--with a load of trust issues and doubts for both--the two tell a wonderful, heart warming story.

I think we all need to read a dog's memoir--at least once.   I absolutely loved this story.  I loved reading the various perspectives--just as I did with Tammy the Cat--and I loved the way the author illustrated the growing relationships throughout the story.  It is just a wonderful story that readers will love from the first page!  The author captures Darcy's unique personality and gives Darcy a voice to tell a life story.

Would I recommend Darcy the Dog Who Talked?  I think this is an absolute must read for dog lovers--especially those who adopt rescued animals!  The novel is a clean story that touches the heart and soul of dog lovers.  If you enjoy dogs and memoirs--this book should be on your reading list!  I loved this book from start to finish!
