Life can get in the way now and again and make things harder for us to clean and tidy, but today we will take a look at some of the things you can do to keep the house healthy and you healthy this spring.

Install air conditioning

If you want to make sure that you and your family and healthy all year long, you will want to avoid breathing in stale air all the time. The best thing you can do for your health in the home is allow fresh air to flow through the space. Fresh air will carry away any mould spores as well as carry away bacteria which might cause a cold. Bleach the windows

The windows should be one of the first places in the home that you wipe and clean every day and there is a good reason for this. Your windows are always subjected to the elements and now and again they will form condensation on the surface. If you don’t wipe your windows and clean them regularly this moisture will attract mould and mould will grow and thrive. Get home and bleach your windows and remember to keep on top of things in the future.

Move furniture away from the walls

One of the biggest mistakes we all make as homeowners is to find space in a room and try to cram as much furniture in there as we can. The main issue this creates is the fact that it will create a space in the home which isn’t being exposed to fresh air. Overtime a part of the house like this will become damp, and as we know damp attracts mould. If you want to avoid damp walls and ceilings make sure to leave some space behind your furniture to allow air to pass through.

Empty the bin often

The bin is something which we should be emptying every few days and this should be something which is really obvious. But when we are living busy lives every single day and working hard to keep ourselves financially stable it can be difficult to think of small things like this. The main health issue an unemptied bin will create is bugs. Flies will always try to find a food source and the bin is ideal for them. They might lay eggs in the bin and this can be a big hygiene risk for you. Always empty the bin regularly to avoid this happening to you this Spring.
