Vegetables and dip are frequent menu guests at all of our
summer cookouts and picnics--and they make a great, healthy snack option for
our busy girls. While I could simply
open a prepared veggie dip--I prefer to make my own dips so that I can control
the ingredients. This easy, healthy,
Greek yogurt vegetable dip recipe has only five ingredients and is ready in
just a few minutes.
Ingredients for an Easy Healthy Greek Yogurt Vegetable Dip
Recipe
1 c. Fage Greek Yogurt
1 c. Cottage Cheese (I use a small curd, lowfat style)
2 tsp. Mrs. Dash Table Blend Seasoning
¼ tsp. Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp. Dried Dill Weed
Instructions for our Easy Healthy Greek Yogurt Vegetable Dip
Recipe
Combine ingredients and mix well. Simply place the ingredients into a medium
mixing bowl and stir with a fork or mixing spoon until fully combined. Serve
with a variety of cut, fresh vegetables.
Recipe tips:
You can easily prepare more or less of this dip simply by
doubling/halving the recipe. This dip is
thick and adheres well to the fresh vegetables--so you will find that you
actually use less of the dip per serving.
If the cottage cheese “clumps” are not appealing to you--try
blending the cottage cheese and yogurt in a blender or food processor first
before adding the spices or use a smooth textured cottage cheese instead. I like the bits of cottage cheese curd--I think it
almost mimics the texture of a not-so-healthy bleu cheese dip!
