Book Review: War of the Heavens Leviathan by Charbel Tadros

Strange scientific projects, crystals, real magic--all involving a traumatized sole survivor of a fatal accident.  I love a good vs. evil battle with a few twists--and this book seemed to offer them.   What did I think of War of the Heavens:  Leviathan by Charbel Tadros?

I received a complimentary copy of this ebook for use in this review. All opinions are my own.

A quick summary of War of the Heavens:  Leviathan.  Nigel survives a car crash, while his whole family perishes in the accident. With the help of his later-to-become girlfriend Vicky, he overcomes the tragedy and makes his way to college. As they are about to graduate, Vicky convinces him to embark on a strange project involving crystals and magick, with a "k" (meaning real magic). Little did they know that this project would open for them the gates of other dimensions including the world of the gods, the world of the muses and the demons, the world of the dead and many more. But why were they called there?

This is a complicated, good vs. evil fantasy book.  Most of the good vs. evil stories have the characters battling one or two "evils"--but, this book opens many mystical, magical worlds.  The characters face a lot of different settings and situations in this book--and it is a bit complicated to keep them all evenly aligned into one storyline--but, I do think Tadros accomplishes it.

The book's storyline is complicated--but, the writing style is not.  The author writes short passages and quick chapters--and does keep the story moving from setting to setting.  The author writes in such a way that the complex storyline seems less so--the scenes aren't overly wordy or loaded with obscure words or phrases.

Would I recommend War of the Gods:  Leviathan by Charbel Tadros?  I love good vs. evil struggles--with unique mixtures of science and magic.  This book draws the reader into a lot of different realms--and it was a little difficult at times to see the necessity of all of them--but, in the end it was a well written story.
