Wordless Wednesday Link Up July 2013: The Scioto Mile

We have been having a fairly wet summer this year in our little corner of the world.  I think it's rained at some point during every day for the last 19 days!  But, that doesn't keep us indoors!  We headed to downtown Columbus, Ohio, this past weekend (literally between rain showers) and visited Bicentennial Park for a picnic, strolled along The Scioto Mile, and toured The Santa Maria.  Don't forget to link up your own Wordless Wednesday posts--we can't wait to see them!

Scenes from along the Scioto Mile.

The Leveque Tower
This has been my favorite downtown building in Columbus since I was a little girl.

Fountains along the Scioto Mile
Fish fountains dot he brick walkway--and the girls loved it!

Planters along the Scioto Mile

Brightly colored flower boxes flank bistro tables set up for downtown lunch outings.  It's such a soothing and inviting environment!

Replica of Christopher Columbus' Santa Maria

We were able to tour the Santa Maria ship, a replica of the one used by Christopher Columbus in his voyage.

It was a wet, rainy day--but, we were able to find a few breaks in the grey clouds and have a lovely afternoon!
Time for this week's Wordless Wednesday Link-Up!
