Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale with Electro-Mechanical Weight Dial Review

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle—and a healthy weight pose certain struggles here in our little corner of the World.  Currently, I'm holding steady with a 20 pound weight loss--while my husband has achieved almost 50 pounds lost!  A key to our weight loss success has been the consistent use of the old, faithful, bathroom scale.  I was recently offered the opportunity to review the Ozeri  Rev Digital Bathroom Scale with Electro-Mechanical Weight Dial and decided that it may be time to upgrade my 15 year old, cow-printed scale!  How did the the Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale stand up to our review?

I love the appearance of the Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale.  I mentioned that my scale, while fairly efficient, made me think of a cow with its dated, black and white print.  The white had darkened with age and just wasn’t something that I enjoyed seeing on display when I walked into the bathroom.  Unfortunately, I found that I was more consistent with daily weigh-ins if the scale was not out of sight/out of mind.  I really like the appearance of the Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale.  The modern, tempered glass and almost futuristic design make me much more willing to leave it out in the room—and its sleek shape lets me slide it into one of my bathroom’s oddly angled corners with ease.

What did we think of the functionality of the Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale?  It’s simple.  This scale measures weight--it doesn't make guesses at body fat or blood pressure--just weight.  I popped in the enclosed batteries and allowed it to self-calibrate on the bathroom floor.  There are no buttons to press to turn it on, no waiting for the scale to zero itself….just step on and wait a few seconds for the weight display.  The scale sensors activate it automatically upon stepping on the unit—so there is no need to balance on one foot to turn on the scale like many other models (including my old one!)

With both a back-lit, digital display and an electro-mechanical dial—it’s easy to read and measured consistently over multiple trials.  It also turns off automatically after a few seconds so that the kiddos (or my cat who loves to sleep on the scale) are not so likely to run down the battery between uses.

Would I recommend the Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale?  We have used this scale daily for a few weeks now and it has been a great product.  If you need a simple, accurate, easy to use and easy to read scale—this one makes a wonderful option.  I like its appearance a lot and it’s easy to clean and maintain.   The scale does have a reminder alarm so that users can set it to weigh in at the same time every day.  While we typically weigh-in before our morning workouts, it would be a nice, (or a forced) daily reminder during a weight loss program.

Disclosure:  I received a product sample for use in this review.  All experiences and opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this review.
