Wordless Wednesday Link Up: Love this Face

By on 4/21/2015 10:25:00 AM

Mister Maxi has been in trouble with the diet police for about a year now.  He has been on a vet approved, measured diet plan since last June.  He has had carrots instead of calorie-laden dog treats.  He has even taken most of his daily walks in the rain or snow....and he has still managed to gain weight over the past few months.  How can this be?  We noticed that he seems to lose a little weight when he goes to the kennel for boarding.  Yet he still eats all of his meals....and gets less exercise.  Hmmm.  Well--we discovered that the moment he thinks the humans are outside or out of earshot--he has been raiding the cats' food bowls!  All FOUR of them!!  SEVERAL times a day!   Really?  The CAT food?  Now that we have caught on to his scheme....he has been in "trouble" a lot over the past few weeks.

This photo was taken after he was caught sucking down 2 cups of cat food while he thought I was safely "occupied" behind the laundry room's door.

I love this face.

It is the one that got him out of the animal shelter as a puppy.

And gets him featured (too often) in our Wordless Wednesday posts...

(I'm a sucker for those wrinkles!)

BUT--it is not getting him out of trouble with Mama (A.K.A, the Diet Police) this time.

Needless to say--the cats are now feeling "punished" with monitored feedings and bowls on counter tops out of Mister Maxi's snout reach!

Max is convinced he's starving.  I'm pretty sure; however, we may all find less trouble at the vet next month when we head in for his annual checkup after a few weeks of following his no-cat-food diet plan!

*Sigh*  If it's not one thing; it's fifty!

Have a wonderful week!!

And don't forget to share your latest Wordless Wednesday posts!

We have been very sad in our linking and commenting efforts for the past few weeks...the end of the school year rush hit about 8 weeks earlier than usual and our homefront has been utter chaos!  BUT--this week....I think...I'm finally on top of everything--and will get to visit a bit more!
