Glistening Swarm by Jill Cooper : Book Review

Glistening Swarm is the third book in Jill Cooper's dystopian series.  After reading, and enjoying the first two books; I looked forward to reading the final segment of the Glistening journey.  What was my review of Glistening Swarm by Jill Cooper?
I received a complimentary copy of this book for use in my review.  All opinions are my own.
Quick Summary of Glistening Swarm.  Man’s reign is over. Now fear the day of the dragon. The human resistance bands together—to fight for their very survival. Staying ahead of the glistenings led by the savage Victor is their top priority, but as the children they have sought to protect fall ill, their days are numbered. Fighting is their only chance of survival and it’s one that the passive glistening, Jake Monroe, has been dreading for over a year. But, he will have no choice but to meet the dragons head on. No matter the cost, no matter the personal sacrifice.

What happens when a dragon first tastes blood?
Glistening Swarm Successfully Rounds Out Cooper's Series.   I will be honest--I enjoyed Cooper's imaginative world, her end-of-the-world adventures, and her characters.  I could follow the characters through a few more series adventures.  Cooper offers closure to the series and readers will feel that the characters find resolution--but, I think other readers will wish there were more adventures to come.
Fans of the series will not be disappointed.  Cooper maintains her writing style and continues her story with ease.  This book flows at an even pace--and concluded the series without giving a rushed or forced feel to the book.
Would I recommend Glistening Swarm by Jill Cooper?  I would actually recommend the entire series to dystopian fans seeking something a little different from the standard zombie or demon realm.  Expect action, adventure, suspense, fantasy--and a little bit of a love story.  It's well worth adding to your reading list if you enjoy dragons, shape shifters, and/or dystopian themes.

About the Author:

I could write this in the third person. I could tell you what I like, where I was born, and what my favorite things are.

But instead, I’ll say I don’t want to write like everyone else. I don’t want to craft stories you’ve read a thousand times before. I want my novels to be a cinematic experience, blending themes, genres, and situations unlike any you’ve ever read.

I want to break the rules. I want you to break out in a cold sweat as you read my books out of fear, love, and excitement. I want my books to be an experience. When you finish, I want you to feel something. Good or bad.

If you do, then I’ll have succeeded. If not, I’ll keep trying.
