Girls Night: Get Cozy This Fall

You’ve probably been hitting the party scene hard all summer, and you’ll have had more late nights than you care to remember. However, as fall approaches, and there’s a change in weather; you might feel less inclined to keep up the momentum. There is another party season on the horizon; fall brings Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year, so there is plenty to look forward to and several reasons to shop for something to wear.

Therefore, now is the perfect time to give yourself a rest and stay in on, dare we say it, a Friday or Saturday night. This doesn’t mean that you have to stop socializing; simply invite your best girls over, and enjoy each other's company in the comfort of your home. The following are some ideas to tempt you to plan a girls night in, where you’ll eat, drink, be entertained, and best of all; stay cozy.

Comfort. Whether you’re perfectly warm down in Miami, or you and the girls are noticing a chill in the air up in NYC; you’ll want to create a comfortable setting for everyone to relax and chill in. Bring duvets onto the sofa and stock up on cushions, throws, blankets, and pillows, so that every surface in your living area provides a cozy environment for your guests. There should also be a strict dress code; loungewear or pajamas only, and warm socks and slippers are a must. Check out this list of comfy PJs on Pinterest and treat yourself to a little online shopping. Put the air-con or heating on depending on the temperature, figure out where everyone wants to sit and snuggle down for a cozy night with your besties.

Entertainment. A girls night is the perfect chance to watch those guilty pleasure movies together, or perhaps you’re feeling like a bit of horror to coincide with Halloween. Take a look at this list of 4k movies on Netflix and pick a few, so you’ll have something lined up for every guest to enjoy. You might need those cushions we mentioned to cover your eyes during the scary parts! With only your dearest friends there to see your face; why not enjoy a pampering session with each other and indulge in some hair and face masks. Paint one another’s nails and relax while your hair and skin get nourished; you’ll wake up the next day feeling far more radiant than you did after your last night out.

Edibles.  Scary movies and nail polish is thirsty work and requires sustenance. Therefore, you’ll need to stock up on soda, snacks, and candy to keep the troops chatting all night. Hang out in the kitchen for a while and get some grilled cheese sandwiches on the go. If you’re not in the mood to cook; order your favorite takeaway, like pizza or Thai, and make sure everyone has enough food to last them the night. Popcorn, potato chips, and even some homemade cocktails will go down a storm, and you’ll wonder what the appeal of going out for drinks was in the first place.
