Your health is one thing that you should take very seriously in your life, because you're in control of it, and you know when something isn't right - especially in terms of your mental health. That is one thing that you need to always be aware of, because it's not as clear as breaking your arm and knowing that you need to get it fixed. Mental illness can cause a lot of problems within your life and if left untreated, it will get worse and worse and you will find yourself spiralling out of control, unable to get a grip of things. You can express yourself however you want to or need to in that very moment. It's fun and effective because essentially you start with some form of blank, empty canvas, and you then allow yourself to fill it and build it up to whatever your heart desires, being left with an original piece of art that shows an insight into who you are.

Play a sport

Running around and getting active is not only brilliant for your physical health as we all know, but it does wonders for the mind too. It helps your brain to release endorphins that make you feel oh so good and even euphoric at times. It's a positive influence to have on your overall body and gives you a distraction. It will also encourage you to get outside of the house rather than hiding away within those four walls, as that is one thing that can make things worse.
