Would I Recommend Pen Pal Gals: Friends Forever by Julie Thiessen? Readers and families will enjoy Reese and Allie and their lake vacation friendship. The characters and their little adventures are quick and easy to read--but are the perfect way to explore letter writing as a meaningful way to maintain a long-distance relationship. Even if pen pal letters are used in addition to email and social media, this is a fun series for middle-grade readers. I look forward to sharing more books from this series.
