Maintaining a strong marriage doesn't always come easily. Life, kids, work, chaos sometimes get in the way of couple time and romance--sometimes even real communication! I recently had the opportunity to read and review The Flirtation Experiment by Christian authors Lisa Jacobson and Phylicia Masonheimer. What did I think of this book? The Authors Offer Useful Marriage Advice in a Down-To-Earth Way. Each author has different experiences life events guiding her through her own marriage. As each shares her experiences and thoughts regarding the Flirtation Experiment--there is literally something valuable and relatable for almost every reader. I enjoyed the honest, open, down-to-earth way the author's shared their stories and opened their lives to readers seeking something a little different and more from marriage.
The Flirtation Experiment is Heavily Christian. Much of the book focuses on the Bible and Christian thought--and women's roles in relationships. Bible references and guidance pops in often--so, if that is not what you are looking for in a book--this one may not be for you. However, if you are looking for a Bible-based book about strengthening marriages and relationships--this one should certainly be on your reading list.
Would I Recommend The Flirtation Experiment by Lisa Jacobson and Phylicia Masonheimer? I enjoyed the ideas and tips--and the author's stories and experiences with this "experiment." It isn't a self-help book for troubled marriages--but it is a fun, relatable book with ideas to strengthen and become closer in your relationship. I haven't checked out the accompanying workbook yet--but I think it may be something to look into too! I would recommend this book to Christian women seeking to find or regain a deeper connection to their spouses.
