My Review

A Beautiful Story: Jesus & St. Nick Offers the Perfect Holiday Story for Families Learning (and Teaching) the True Meaning of Christmas. We all have felt that the meaning of Christmas has become a bit lost in the commercialized sea that floods our holiday season. This book is a beautiful little story for families seeking to teach young children about the Christian significance of the Christmas holiday and teaching (and maybe learning, too!) the history and role of St. Nick in holiday traditions. This book is a well-done look at the holiday and the not-so-separate connections between Jesus and Santa!

Warm, Expressive Illustrations Fill Each Page. I loved the warmth of the illustrations from Robert Sauber in this book. So much is added to each page that helps pull readers into the story's tone.

Would I Recommend A Beautiful Story: Jesus & St. Nick by Sarah French? The author uses Scripture and history in simple ways for young readers to understand--but also detailed enough that the takeaways from the story remain helpful for families. I recommend this book for families with young children seeking to teach the meaning of Christmas and the significance of both Jesus and St. Nick to our holiday celebrations.
