Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas That Your Teenagers Will Actually Love

Are you still looking for the perfect Easter basket fillers for the teenagers in your life? Finding cool, unique and useful gifts for teens can be challenging, especially if you want to avoid loading them up with sugary treats or cheesy-dollar-store-type gifts. As parents of three daughters, we understand the struggle of creating exciting Easter baskets that won't disappoint the teens on Easter morning! Here's our list of practical (and fun) non-candy Easter gifts that your teens will actually want and enjoy!

Wireless Earbud Cases

Teens love personalizing their tech accessories. Consider getting a stylish protective case for their AirPods or wireless earbuds. You can choose from trendy designs, patterns, or even customizable earbud case options that really reflect their personalities and interests.

Gift Cards for Digital Entertainment

Teens are definitely lovers of all things digital. My daughters love getting steaming subscription gifts! Loading their Easter basket with digital gift cards is always a hit. Consider options like:

  • Spotify Premium
  • Netflix subscription
  • Gaming platform credits (Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox)
  • Apple App Store or Google Play Store cards
Self-Care Items

Today's teens, both boys and girls, are increasingly conscious about self-care. I love to add a bunch of trial-sized items or small-sized products that let my teens try out some new self-care products without committing to a full-size (expensive) item that they may or may not like! Try self-care items like:

Sports and Fitness Accessories

My teens are very active in organized sports, like cross country, track running and soccer. Even if your teen isn't into team sports, they may enjoy outdoor activities or strength training--making sports and fitness accessories great ideas for the Easter basket. Consider adding the following:

Tech Accessories

My teens have always been rough and tough on tech accessories! We go through SO many chargers and always seem to need a new portable charger because one has been lost or broken. Consider these practical tech accessory necessities:
Art and Creativity Supplies
Even if your teen isn't an artist, creative and crafty supplies come in handy for school projects or for them to use in their own gift-making creativity throughout the year. I almost always include special markers or a grown-up coloring book in our baskets!Fashion Accessories
I have long given up on choosing outfits and such for my teens--but they usually like the smaller accessories that I buy for them! Here are some Easter-basket-sized fashion accessories items that won't break the bank:Room Decor
Load up the Easter basket with gifts that help your teen personalize their space! This is especially a great idea if your teen is heading to high school next fall (or even off to college) and you can add in some school-branded items. Some of our favorite room decor gifts for the Easter basket are:
Practical School Supplies

I don't always buy "fun" school supplies for my teens in the fall. We devote more of our budget to new clothes and extracurricular fees and gear, so adding a few fun and practical school supplies to the Easter basket adds a little excitement to the last few weeks of the school year! Try these school supply ideas:Give an "Experience" Gift
I always add at least one gift card for an activity or a favorite restaurant (you can't go wrong with Starbucks!) If your teen isn't into Starbucks or Chipotle, try one of these ideas:
  • Movie theater tickets
  • Local attraction passes (I've added Cedar Point tickets or tickets for the local zoo.)
  • Adventure activity vouchers--maybe ziplining or paintball tickets

Remember these Tips for Creating the Perfect Easter Basket for Teens

  • Choose gifts that match their hobbies and interests
  • Mix practical items with fun surprises
  • Include some small candy treats--or add in some healthy snacks

By focusing on practical, trendy, and age-appropriate items, you can create an Easter basket that your teenager will truly appreciate. These suggestions can be mixed and matched based on your budget and your teen's specific interests, ensuring a personalized and memorable Easter celebration.

  1. Cute ideas. When mine were teens they liked the traditional candy baskets! Probably because it would have things only available at Easter time. Cadbury caramel eggs (or the fudge I don't see anymore), chocolate rabbits...
