We have been on a health and wellness mission for a while
now here in our little corner of the world.
I have lost 20 pounds and the husband has lost nearly 40 pounds. We have accomplished our weight loss with
diet and exercise—but, have both suffered a few minor sports injuries that
zapped our motivation (and exercise availability) and have had a few events
involving unhealthy food and drink. I am
not a fan of “diet pills” as they often produce few results for me with many
side effects—and contain a host of less than desirable ingredients. I was recently received the opportunity to
sample and review Calorease, a stimulant free weight management aid, as member
of Moms Meet.
What is Calorease? Calorease is a stimulant free weight
management product that has been shown to bind and eliminate up to 9 times its
weight in dietary fat. It is naturally
sourced, and as part of a reduced calorie, fat containing diet, can reducing up
to 500 calories a day from the fat in foods. While Calorease should not be
viewed as a license to overindulge—it may just be the boost that some need to
see better weight loss results.
What did I think of Calorease? My diet was fairly low fat during the two weeks
that I reviewed the product. Since the
product requires a bit of fat in the diet to work properly, I generally only
took it once a day during the week (with the meal containing the most fat) and,
usually twice per day on the weekends when our diet was more likely to be less
than ideal.
Calorease comes prepackaged into two-tablet blister
packs. The tablets are large—I often have
difficulty swallowing large supplements and these were difficult for me. I was pleased; however, that I was not
jittery and did not develop headaches or mood swings as I do with stimulant-based,
diet aids. As the Calorease packaging
indicates, bloating and such may occur if the product is taken without enough
fat in the diet. I did experience
bloating and cramping on a day when my diet contained too little fat—but, when
taking the product along with other, normal fat containing meals, I saw no side
effects at all.
Did I see results with Calorease? As I mentioned, I did not take the product multiple
times per day, every day, as directed.
My diet was not perfect during the two weeks of the trial—and I had
pulled a muscle in my lower back, so my activity level was down as well. I did not lose additional weight—but I
maintained my weight loss and that was a perfect result for me. (To put this into perspective, my husband
followed a similar diet and limited exercise program during that same time—and
did not take the Calorease product--and regained several pounds.) I certainly felt that I was able to maintain
my weight loss with the help of Calorease during that time.
Would I recommend Calorease?
I would recommend this to anyone seeking a natural, weight management
aid. I saw no side effects when my meals
contained fat (even as in lower fat from ground sirloin or turkey sausage—not from
pumpkin pie or pizza) and I saw results for my personal situation.
