Dining Out

In the category of fine dining, Perry's Steakhouse & Grill in Park Meadows offers American-style grilled food with gluten-free options. This restaurant is conveniently located near Park Meadows Mall so that you can grab dinner before or after shopping. Dinner reservations are suggested so that you may fully enjoy the casual elegance of the wine wall and the fireplace in Bar 79 while dining on USDA-aged prime beef.

For a truly romantic evening, try The Melting Pot in nearby Littleton. This eatery offers a four-course dining experience featuring the art of fondue. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available in an elegant historic building with eclectic decor.

Is a taste of Asia more to your liking? Nearby Denver offers two sushi options just across the street from each other: the Sushi Den and the Izakaya Den on South Pearl Street. These sister restaurants give you an amazing choice of atmospheres with excellent fish and just the right amount of food on your plate.

Perhaps you not only love to eat great food but also have a desire to prepare it. The Denver Highlands Ranch area has a number of fine culinary schools for chefs in training, but a quick look through your tourist information guides will let you know which of these schools have recreational cooking classes.

The classes are usually themed, and some are designed especially for couples having a date night. Others may be titled "Cooking for Tailgating," or "Family Breakfasts." Although the well-known and respected Kitchen Table Cooking School recently closed its doors for the last time, you may find that the Uncorked Kitchen in Centennial, about 15 minutes away, offers just the class for you.

Entertainment and Shopping

If you plan to go shopping, there is no lack of places to shop for food-related items as well as fine wines and craft beers. Most breweries, wineries, and gourmet food shops will ship your items back home so that you don't have to worry about transporting fragile or time-sensitive items.

Tour Water 2 Wine where you can taste sulfite-free wines and enjoy modest pricing of $6 to $8 dollars a glass. You can also venture out to 3 Freaks Brewery on County Line Road to sample flavorful small-batch brews and have some sent home for later.

Whether you're a foodie, beer lover, or wine aficionado, you're sure to find something delicious in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
