When my mornings are hectic and my family is rushed through
breakfast with little time to “ease into the day”—it really just sets a blah
tone over the whole day! I am a huge
supporter of relaxed, family breakfasts to get the morning off to a great
start. We recently joined Cheerios and The FamilyBreakfast Project for a week of family breakfasts—7 Minutes for 7 Days--and we would
love for your family to join too!
What is the Family Breakfast Project? Cheerios is encouraging busy families
to set aside seven minutes for seven days to explore the benefits of a family breakfast. Cheerios and The Family Breakfast Project,
from the creators of The Dinner Project, have created a fun program—with breakfast meal
prep ideas, morning organization tips, daily activities, conversations
starters, recipes and more.
Breakfast is one of our favorite meals of the day! Whether gathering over bowls of cereal or
oatmeal—or joining forces with the kiddos in a Cooking with Kids breakfast dish—like
these breakfast pizza sandwiches, we enjoy our morning meals and our time together.
Is your morning too hectic for breakfast? I know that mornings get a little crazy. Missing permission slips, last minute homework, early morning conference calls, shoes and mittens gone missing in action. I do also know that with a little prep and planning, mornings can be a lot more relaxed and manageable! Check out the Family Breakfast Project for useful tips—like organizing
the fridge for easy breakfast access or fun morning clothing organizing charts
for the kids.
The Family Breakfast Project reminds us to take a few
minutes for the “little things”. The program gives a handful of quick, simple activities for a week's worth of morning family time. The project makes mornings a little more fun--and a little more meaningful.
While I often think these things about my middle, little one--this printable place mat from the Family Breakfast Project helped me make sure that these words began her morning!
