5 Fun Trumpet or Mermaid Style Prom Dresses for 2014

I will admit that I get excited about looking at dresses--although I won’t have another prom-attending-princess for several more years. I love mermaid or trumpet style prom dresses--and I always lean toward asymmetrical, unique styles. Trumpet/Mermaid Asymmetrical Prom Dress With Beading Split Front Cascading Ruffles 

The fun, cascading ruffles of this dress remind me of my own senior prom dress (from way back when) with an updated Trumpet/Mermaid design. I think it’s simple in style--but, fun enough to appeal to both mom and daughter.

This is such a bold, colorful dress that I added it to my top 5 list before looking at the others! I love the rich colors--and the fun, asymmetrical hemline. I also love that this dress can be custom fitted and made to order--since one size does not always fit all in such a style.

Trumpet/Mermaid Sweetheart Asymmetrical Charmeuse Prom Dress With Lace  

This dress is one of my favorites. Its hi-low hemline suits the prom-goer with a no-trip-dress desire…..and a parent who wants something a little more formal. I love the pearl pink option shown in the photo--but, it is also available in a variety of colors. This dress can also be custom-tailored as well. 

Trumpet/Mermaid Asymmetrical Organza Prom Dress w/ Ruffle Beading Cascading Ruffles 

This dress offers another hi-low hemline (which my daughter always preferred since she was so concerned about tripping over the front dress hem)--but, this time, with full, flowing ruffles. Again--I love the color and beading as shown--but, it also offered in a variety of colors and can be custom tailored to fit.

Trumpet/Mermaid Sweetheart Asymmetrical Taffeta Prom Dress w/ Ruffle Beading  

A simple, asymmetrical hem--without all of the ruffle-fluff--makes this dress another of my favorite prom dresses.  As with others, this dress can be custom made to fit and is available in a variety of colors. (I would love this dress in Jade or Royal Blue.)
