Enter the hidden realm of the Little Folk and follow Kit on a thrilling adventure. Can he reclaim an object precious to his people and return home to the Hollow Chestnut? Using his wits and environment, Kit embarks on this miniature odyssey through a lushly illustrated world.
The Author Offers a Fun Fantasy Adventure--With a Message Too. The story follows Kit as he faces a dangerous journey to retrieve a precious crystal from a fox who had accidentally "stolen" it from Kit's village while intentionally swiping some of the village's stored food. Knowing the crystal's significance to his village, he decided to find the fox and retrieve the crystal. The author does a wonderful job creating Kit's world from his miniature-sized perspective and showing the dangers presented to him by our "normal" sized objects. The author also offers a little message about love and the value and importance of those we love.
Beautiful Illustrations Complement the Story. As Kit moves through his adventure and faces challenges on every page, the illustrations add so much detail for families to explore. From making the grass head-dress for camouflage to navigating the water with a magnolia leaf boat and a porcupine quill paddle--there is something to talk about on every page.
Would I Recommend My Way Home by Holly Heaton? My Way Home is a fun story for families to share with little ones or for slightly older readers to enjoy alone. The illustrations and the miniature-sized perspectives make it an entertaining fantasy story that both adults and children will enjoy.
