Easy Appetizer: Greek Spicy Feta Dip

One of our favorite appetizers from our local Greek restaurant is a warm, spicy feta dip. I absolutely love this dip with warm pita bread or garlic naan. Today, I wanted to share my version of the dish. This recipe isn't warmed--but, I have been known to warm it slightly in the oven before serving! This is an easy appetizer that goes great with our Spinach and Feta stuffed chicken breast recipe or with homemade gyros!

Ingredients for Greek Spicy Feta Dip

8oz. Crumbled Feta Cheese

1/4 c. Plain Greek Yogurt

1/2 c. Roasted Red Pepper, Chopped

1 Clove Garlic, Minced

1 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil, plus additional for garnish drizzle

1-2 Hot Chili Peppers

1/4 tsp. Salt

Chopped Cilantro, Optional

Instructions for Greek Spicy Feta Dip

Blend the Spicy Feta Ingredients. Add your ingredients to a food processor and process until smooth. Remember, use only one hot chili pepper with seeds and membranes removed for a more mild spice--or adjust the spice level hotter by including the seeds and membranes or blending in a second hot chilli pepper.

Serve. Pour the dip into a decorative serving bowl and garnish with a light drizzle of olive oil and some chopped cilantro, if desired. Serve with warmed pita bread, strips of garlic naan, crackers or pita chips.

This may be the easiest, most flavorful appetizer dip ever! It is definitely a family favorite.
